Adam Pearson · Sculptures
I am a Barrington, NH sculptor and craftsman. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2003. Currently, I work at UNH as the Art Department Technician where I coordinate safety protocol, machine maintenance and material usage in the sculpture, ceramics, welding and casting areas.
I am the president of the non-profit arts group Art Esprit based in Rochester, NH (artesprit.org). As president I have led the organization through the successful completion of two major public art projects, "If These rocks Could Talk: Stories of the Granite State" in 2010 and "Rochester Creates: Portraits" in 2011. I served as Vice-President of Art Esprit for 2008 and 2009. In 2009 I created each of the eleven individual shoe sculptures that were then decorated by Art Esprit members for the public art exhibit "The Shoes of Rochester."
I continue to work as a professional art installer. I have hung over 100 shows including hanging and installing pictures and sculpture at Artstream Gallery, The Museum of Art at UNH, Frisbee Memorial Hospital, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and the Rochester Opera House among other places and residencies.
